The silence between Barack Obama and Bill Clinton has been broken, with the Democratic White House hopeful on Monday asking the former president to campaign for him during their first conversation since the heated primary.
I will never vote for obama..The way Mrs. Clinton was treated is not to be forgotten...
Clinton is the biggest sore loser I've ever seen. I will never vote for Clinton. Oh wait, I can't.
How would you like your wife or loved one being treated the way Mrs. Clinton was.
He is not a sore looser, he has pride and dignity...Obama and his bullies along with the media and the DNC treated Mrs. Clinton shamefully..Obama is the kid that threw the rocks but hid his hands and pointed to his bullies....
I would never vote for Obama...he is a lire, phony hypocrite and certainly not qualified to be the next president..For you Hillary supporters...go to:www. justsaynodeal.com
To all the Hillary haters, the same slime machine is already working on the Obamas. It's a whisper campaign. The way you start trouble in middle school. E-mails fly with misinformation. Obama the gay commie Muslim. Michelle the power hungry monster behind Baracks campaign. A great deal that made you hate Hillary is based on the similar garbage you read in the two sentences before this one. If Baarack and Bill say they had a nice chat why not believe them?
Obama and his bullies along with the media and the DNC treated Mrs. Clinton shamefully..
Exactly what did Obama do to Hillary? Be specific. The only think I can see is that he won in a year that was hers to lose. Too bad for her, but she's not the first to lose a close primary season.
Your hate has blinded you. Obama had his hench men do it. He keeps his hands clean.
But if you're such a supporter of Hillary why don't you support who she supports? After all, she's still a power player. She knew what kind of game she had to play before she got in the ring. She did the same amount of jabbing as her opponents did to her. Not sure if you know this about her, but she's no victim...she's quite an intelligent woman. She just lost, that's all! Get over it! If you're a true Hillary supporter, you should be supporting her to the end - including backing who she's backing. Otherwise your support is superficial and really not needed.
Does Obama's own friend, senator and supporter know what Obama has accomplished...
No lie, just truth..Obama does not have anything on his smear clear website about this...for its true..

Great question...thank you! It left his supporter speechless with so many accomplishments Obama has
had..all obama supporters and non supporters should look at this and be proud of your dicision to vote or not vote for him....
God Bless America! for the need will be there!
I just love it, both men who deceived and degraded Hillary Clinton are now talking. I was going to vote for Hillary, but am very disappointed in her for giving up the fight. She is now once again standing by her man. The worst part is she did it for money. She could have made history by changing parties and running as a independent. She would have a great following and would have given us something to look forward to in November. I am a Republican female who really wanted to see a woman in the White House in my lifetime. Shame on you Hillary, these two men did you wrong and you had the power to stand up to them, pave your way to the White House as a real Hero, and sold out for money.
Her losing the primary I don't think is giving up the fight. If you want to continue her fight, truly, then the best way to do that is to continue to support the issues she so desperately fought for---you need to consider support for Obama so that the total opposite does not happen. A continuation and DIRECT contradiction to her values, issues and beliefs---Sen. McCain's policies. Remember that the work she did will not stop unless we stop it.
Janice,...What money?????
She could have made history by changing parties and running as a independent.
I'm no political expert, but it seems that about the only thing she would have accomplished by HRC running independent would be to split the democratic party and guarantee that McCain was elected. If you truely liked her and wanted her in the White House, then we're on the same page. However, running independent would not accomplish that goal.
She could have made history by changing parties and running as a independent.
I'm no political expert, but it seems to me that the only possible result of HRC running independent would be a split Democratic party and McCain in the White House. Now if you really liked HRC and wanted her elected, then we are on the same page. I just don't see what she did as quiting.
When you have two people vying to secure the "biggest job in town" you are going to have fierce competition. I think Obama handled himself like a true gentlemen. I did not hear anything from his mouth that was not first-class and respectful. Obama won the primary because our political system is based on the amount of delegates. It has always been and will continue to be this way. That is political law in our country. Many of us may not agree with this system, but like many other laws we have the freedom to disagree, but that does not mean that a particular system or law will change if we complain loud enough. People on these blogs did to follow the same example. Disagree, passionately if you must, but do it respectfully and we'll get to hear some good debates. When you name call or get mean, no one listens and those people seem radical. Play nice.......
Pittsburg yes Obama is a total gentleman with his mouth, but you have to look at what he is not saying...this is politics remember. We can only know what is written by reporters so do not believe all that you read or hear.
Just how much Obama Kool-Aid have you drank in Pittsburgh? At least Senator Clinton has some experience and could honestly make some type of difference. This guy is an empty shell, and brings absolutely nothing to the table worth voting for. My vote will go to Senator MC Cain and I encourage everyone with any hope for the future to vote for America by voting for Senator MC Cain.
We don't drink Kool-Aid here---we drink Iron City. I agree. She COULD make a difference if she had the chance to work with the democratic party along with Senator Obama and if Obama gets elected she can see to fruition some of the things she has fought so hard for. But if all her supporters think the way you do, then we'll never know----at least for several years. Personally, I don't want to risk that at all. I like Obama. I think he's intelligent. I think he has some good ideas, and I think he's a decent guy. That's my opinion. You're entitled to yours, absolutely.
If you Like things the way they are now...you should vote for McCain. Actually I have always liked Sen. McCain but in my opinion, I don't want someone filling the shoes of George Bush...on and on and on....and continuing his policies.
Pittsburgh,...The Republican side ways hitting, coming at you from all angles, slime machine is just warming up. They're going to baste the Obama crowd with whisper campaigns and misinformation.
I'm with Pittsburgh! Well said!
Jones girl, he blamed Nafta on Hillary. She was the first lady & Nafta was written by the first Bush. She was against Nafta & expressed this. But a senator talked her into not being against it. She was not in office, just the First Lady so how could she have voted for it? He accused Hillary of being a flip flopper over the illegal immigrant drivers license issue. Something she never said she was for but understood why her states governor was & she was undecided. So a couple of months later he is for illegal immigrants having drivers licenses. Both her & Bill's words were twisted to make it seem they were racist when nothing could have been further from the truth. How in the world could people beleive that Hillary is racist??? But some did!!! People took a lady that has fought for the underpriviliged all of her life & turned her into a monster. He did the same thing in order to become an Illinois state senator. He just eliminated his competion until he was the only candidate. On the phone call, he called Bill. Bill wants the democrats in office. O'Bama will take advantage of that.
Let's not go there. You wouldn't want to know what Hillary and Bill did while in office and during her campaign. Both her and her husband use racial smear tactics against Obama - they used his pastor issue, his upbringing...for goodness sake, she even used the fact that as a kindergartner Obama wanted to become President as if that would somehow disqualify him....
Please people. It is what it is. Let's not twist things out of proportion. Let's move forward. Do you want change in the government or do you want the same old stuff we're so unhappy about now? It's not about Hillary anymore. It's about you.
I understand that two people can have differing views and then support one another later. It is also understandable that both candidates are all in the Democratic Party and want to ensure a "win" in November. Many people also understand that Sen. Clinton wants to have another shot at the Presidency in the future. She wishes to show the American people that both she and Bill are behind their party and are team players. All of this is perfectly understandable.
So why does any of this surprise so many people on newsvine? This is, and always has been, the way that politics are played out in this country.
There are many misunderstandings about Obama,
1.) He is not Muslim, but rather he is Irish... O'bama.
2.) He is not African American, but rather whats known as " Onocassion" which describes what part of his gene pool is highlighted given the room of people he is in at the time.
The list goes on and on. Seriously though, he is no better or worse than most we have seen over the years, just inexperienced. Hillary is the winner of the popular vote. O'bama is the winner of the party bosses and there is nothing the average Democratic voter can do. Republicans have the same problem. Americans are left with the fallout of a failed system.
I believe Senator Obama won the popular vote as well, but I digress. The beginning of your comment Alveraz does not even bear response as it is so ridiculous. For those who purported that Senator Clinton run independent she knows that will only cause a split vote, that she would not win, and that in the process she would piss off the democratic party. She is a very intelligent woman and is using her mind and not jumping to rash decisions. I did not vote for her but she clearly was a viable candidate she just did not win and I think Bill Clinton (who by the way was a very good POTUS despite his personal issues) has come to realize this as well. She will have another chance. Obama is a good man and I truly think he respects both Clintons very much. Also, despite what many say both Barack and Hillary have similar objectives and them working together to achieve them is a good thing for all of us. Barack will help Hillary with those things she believes strongly in. He will not be a sit and Veto every idea President like what we are dealing with now and what I believe would continue in a McCain White House.
No offense intended towards the Senator or your response mechanism. I do not completely disagree with you on your points, however being an obviously intelligent person, how can you even think that any one man or woman is going to undo centuries of the way government has survived? The pissing contest between and within the parties has done nothing for the advancement of human kind and may never even in our great-grandchildrens time.
And to make the statement that he is not going or is going to do something like or unlike what we are dealing with now is at best...blind hope. Remember that he is a politician. Have no illusions that he will do what is best for him first-then you.
To all the Hillary supporters/Barack haters. If you want wars without end, more tax cuts for millionaires, no equal pay for equal work, and no reproductive choice or information to make an informed decision, by all means vote for McCain.
Don't think for a minute that Clinton is upset because HILLARY isn't going to the White House. He is angry because Obama has upset the scheme that has been in the works for 16 years. If obama let's that snake behind him he is crazy. I wonder what the people who thought Hillary didn't want to be President like she said all those years , think now. There is no doubt I would vote for a woman for president, just not her. And I can't stomach her for the same reason i can't stomach her snake husband. I wonder if Bubba is worried that Obama may be able to win without the 2 of them.
I recall watching a TV interview when former president Clinton was stumping for his wife and said this to Senator Obama "if you can't take the bruises maybe you should not be in the game." Okay let's fast forward to post Democratic primary election, now some of you are saying how unfairly she was treated. Please give me a break with that garbage, Senator Clinton and her camp gave as good as they got. Most of those in the Democratic party wanted her to concede the election when it was obvious that she had no chance of securing enough votes. I think the Clinton's turned a lot of voters off by their constant refining of the criteria to receive the nomination. First, it was the votes in Fla and Mich should not count, at least until she found her self behind. Secondly, she stated that the number of pledge delegates mattered, then after she fell behind in that count, Senator Clinton said that there is no such thing as pledge delegates. Then she stated that she could win the popular vote and become the party's nominee, so if that be the case why do we have delegates and super delegates?
Now some of you want Senator Obama to apologize to the Clinton's for the way he and his wife were treated during the campaign. I don't recall reading where they apologized to Michelle Obama or Senator Obama for the smears they leaked out through their surrogates. In the words of the former President "If you can't take the bruises than maybe you should not be in the game."
Bill Clinton called Obama's REMARKS ABOUT REAGAN A FAIRYTALE. He did not and has never called Obama's war views a fairytale, so please stop trying to undermine Clinton and uplift Obama.
I am glad that they are campaigning together and I am glad Clinton waited on Obama's phone call.
If Clinton had called Obama...the news media would have accused Bill of "wanting something" or of pushing Hillary on Obama. Obama is exactly correct...Bill is an intelligent man and played it smart waiting on the call. I beleive they will rally great together....they will make a good team.
I like to "think outside the box", and if Hillary hadn't run for President, I would say Bill would make the best VP Obama could ever ask for!
